ARTWORK

Is my artwork ready for print?

Review our quick checklist below to ensure your artwork is ready for print:

 

  • Ensure all fonts are included
  • Text is legible and images are crisp
  • Page layout is correct (single/double sided)
  • Ensure artwork includes bleed
  • Artwork matches the specified dimensions
  • Ensure image resolution is sufficient (at least 300dpi)
  • Colours are in CMYK mode
In what format should my artwork be supplied?

We accept the following formats:

 

  • Illustrator and InDesign Files: Must be converted to a PDF or EPS Format. 
  • Photoshop Files: To get the highest print quality, it is best to save your files as TIFF files. 
  • High resolution JPEG files are acceptable if they meet the resolution standard of at least 300dpi.
What is bleed?

Bleed is background colours and/or images that should extend 5mm beyond the cut line. In other words, the bleed is the area to be trimmed off. After trimming, the bleed ensures that no unwanted white edges occur in the final trimmed document.

All artworks require 5mm bleed.

A 3mm margin from the edge of the document is also required to avoid any text or images from being cut off, this is called the safe area.

Will someone check my uploaded artwork and notify me if there is anything wrong?

Yes, definitely. We check the artwork uploaded for each order to ensure it is ready for print. Should there be anything wrong with your artwork, you will be notified.

Will I receive a proof of my artwork?

You won’t receive a proof of your artwork however we are able to assist you with a digital proof for your approval on request. Please tick this option when checking out. 

Please note that requesting a digital proof of your artwork will effect the lead time of your order. We will only start processing your order once you have approved your digital proof.

Can I have a hard copy proof?

We don’t do hard copy proofs however we are able to assist you with one on request. Please tick this option when checking out.

Can you assist me with my artwork?

Yes we can, please send us an email to hello@finelineprint.co.za with your requirements and we’ll get back to you with a quotation.

What payment methods are accepted?

Can payment be made on delivery/collection?

Unfortunately not, as we are an e-commerce website, we require payment to be made on ordering.

How long will my order take?

Business  Cards
3 full working days, from order, artwork and payment received, for completion.

 

Flyers
Digital – 3 full working days, from order, artwork and payment received, for completion.

 

Litho
Order, artwork and payment received by 11am on a Tuesday to be completed by a Friday. 
Order, artwork and payment received by 11am on a Thursday to be completed by a Tuesday.

 

X-banners
3 full working days, from order, artwork and payment received, for completion.

 

Pull Up Banners
3 full working days, from order, artwork and payment received, for completion.

 

Correx Boards
3 full working days, from order, artwork and payment received, for completion.

 

Posters
3 full working days, from order, artwork and payment received, for completion.

Where can I track the status of my order?

You can track the status of your order in your account under orders.

What if I need to cancel my order?

You can cancel your order in your account under orders.

Please do so as quickly as possible to avoid the order being processed already.

  • Kindly note that should the order be processed already a small charge will apply.
  • If the order is already printed the full charge will apply.
What do I do if I am unsatisfied with my order?

In the unlikely event of you being unsatisfied with your order please send us an email to hello@finelineprint.co.za with the default and attach pictures to support this.

We will get back to you as soon as possible.

*Kindly note that any default in your product must be reported within 7 working days of delivery.

How do I request a quotation?

Quotations can be requested via our ‘Need A Quote?’ page.

How do I place an order for a product that’s not on the website?

Please send us an email to hello@finelineprint.co.za with your request and we will assist you with a quotation.

DELIVERY

Do you deliver to my area?

We deliver all over South Africa.

When will my order be delivered?

Your order will be despatched as soon as it is completed. Please see ‘How long will my order take?‘ for full completion times.

Our delivery times are as follows:

  • Standard Delivery : 3-4 Working Days
  • Express Delivery: 2-3 Working Days
  • Overnight Delivery: 1-2 Working Days
Where can I track the status of my delivery?

You can track the status of your delivery in your account under orders provided the order has been despatched already. If you are unable to track the status of your delivery you will be be able to track the status of the order.

Can my order be delivered without Fineline Print Solutions branding?

Yes it can, please tick this option when checking out.

Can I collect my order?

Yes you can, orders can be collected from our offices in Maitland. Please tick this option when checking out.
